When you are under constant pressure to get quotes back to your customers, every minute counts. That’s why we’ve focused our attention on speeding up the layout workflow in LED Wizard 8. Whether you have an “easy” job, or a more difficult one, the software has the tools to get the layout finished faster than any other method.
The basic workflow in LED Wizard 8 follows these steps:
- Create or prepare your artwork – this ranges from typing your text or drawing your shape to importing, scaling, and cleaning up your custom artwork. If you are importing artwork, then the Data Clean Up Tool will guide you through the available options.
- Create your layout with the PowerFlow Tool – this includes auto populating your artwork, module editing (if necessary), loading power supplies, adding dimensions, creating statistics, and merging to the selected title block template. With our workflow automation, you may be able to do all of these in one step.
- Export a scaled PDF and/or production file(s) – the scaled PDF is for your estimate, and full scale DXF files are for your shop floor. Either way, you have control over the layers you export.
The time it takes to complete an accurate layout depends on many factors, but understanding and utilizing the many tools available will enable you to get the job done quickly.
